The soul behind Hollow & Hearth

Hollow & Hearth was created from a love of connection and a deep awareness of how quickly life moves. The moments that matter most are rarely the loud ones. They’re found in the everyday. In the way children reach for familiar hands. In the closeness between two people who know each other well. In the pauses we don’t realise we’ll miss until they’ve passed.

This work is shaped by real life. By motherhood. By building a home. By learning how fleeting each chapter truly is. Becoming a parent changed the way time feels and taught me how much meaning lives in the in-between moments. The messy ones. The quiet ones. The ones that don’t feel important until they’re gone.

Each session is slow and intuitive, guided by connection rather than posing. There’s no pressure to perform or be anything other than yourselves. I care more about honesty than perfection and moments that feel lived-in rather than styled.

Hollow & Hearth exists to hold those moments gently. For families, lovers, and the chapters that shape our lives.

A Gold Coast maternity, newborn, and family photographer, and the heart behind Hollow & Hearth. Formerly Missed Moments Photography (est. 2012), my work has always centred around connection, storytelling, and the quiet moments that matter most.

My Approach

The most meaningful photographs are rarely forced. They grow from trust from creating a space where you feel safe enough to soften, to move naturally, to simply be.

My work is guided by feeling rather than perfection. I’m drawn to natural light, honest connection, and the quiet poetry that lives in everyday moments; hands finding each other, shared laughter, the weight of a promise, the pauses in between.

I don’t chase trends or poses. I observe. I hold space. I document what unfolds with care and intention.

I don’t just photograph what happens, I honour what it means.

When I’m not behind the camera, life is full and layered: family, creativity, building something meaningful, and finding beauty in the in-between moments that so often inspire the work itself.

fAVOURITE Drink:

I love me a masi size Crème Chocolate Fusion from Zarrafas. I do however LOVE a White monster.

holiday destination:

New Zealand. I spent three weeks travelling there when I was younger and fell completely in love. I even bungee jumped!

Favourite book:

Do i need to pick one? I love dark romance… Haunting Adeline is certainly up there! There are so many, but that one stayed with me.

Somehwere dramatic, wild, and absolutely breathtaking. Give me snow capped mountians and epic views

Pregnancy + Birth:

Pregnancy and birth were complicated for me. NICU days, a hard second pregnancy, traumatic births and postpartum depression

My little family

Everything I do is for these three. They're the reason I understand how precious these moments truly are — how quickly tiny fingers grow, how fast the years slip by.

Being a mum has completely transformed how I see my work. I don't just take photos anymore — I preserve the feelings, the connections, the fleeting magic of right now.
